2015-present
Indigo. Co-founded in 2015. Started small. Didn't stay that way.
I started Indigo because the timing was right and the gap was obvious. Video demand was accelerating, production technology was making high-quality content more accessible than ever, and brands needed a creative partner who could think strategically as well as point a camera. So we built one. A decade on, it's an award-winning video, animation and photography agency with its own studio facilities just thirty minutes outside London, a client list that includes Virgin Atlantic, Hilton, Octopus Energy, Unilever, the NHS and various corners of the British government, and a way of working that I'm genuinely proud of.
The work spans everything from brand films and integrated campaigns to social-first content and motion graphics. We've directed Hilton's flagship 'Uncorking Potential' wine campaign across the UK and EMEA, produced Hidden Hearing's Europe-wide TV, digital and print campaign, and shot Visit Kent's brand film for TV and digital. We've delivered recruitment campaigns for Virgin Atlantic and Octopus Energy that won at the FIRM, ISE and Recruiter Awards, including Virgin Atlantic's 'Diverse Cabin Crew' and Octopus Energy's 'Women in Engineering,' both of which I'm especially proud of. On the public sector and charity side, we've produced the NHS national graduate recruitment campaign, public health campaigns for Kent County Council covering stop smoking and drug and alcohol awareness, and brand films for Mind and Contact. We've also worked with Trading Standards, UK Border Force and DEFRA, none of which are glamorous clients and all of which are important ones.
My role is Co-founder and Creative Director, which in practice means I do everything a Creative Director does and quite a lot a Creative Director shouldn't have to. I set the creative and strategic direction across all major projects and key accounts, from pitch through to final delivery. I own the P&L, handle financial strategy, forecasting and growth planning, lead business development and agency positioning, and manage the senior client relationships. I also still direct, mentor the team across every stage of production, and stay close enough to the craft that I'm the one reviewing edits at midnight. Full P&L ownership is the bit nobody warns you about when you start a company. It's also the bit that makes everything else possible.
One thing I'm quietly proud of is that we champion emerging talent through regular studio placements with local creative colleges, giving media students hands-on experience of professional production alongside mentoring from the Indigo team. It's not the flashiest thing we do, but it might be the most worthwhile.
PS. This page is a work in progress. I’ll be adding more Indigo work as and when time permits.

Hilton
We've worked with Hilton for a decade now, which in agency years is basically a marriage. Fifty-plus films and counting, spanning their sustainability programme, the 'Uncorking Potential' wine series with Helen McGinn, and event coverage at their shows around the world. At one point they sent us to South Africa for two weeks, which I mention purely for professional reasons and not because it was one of the best fortnights of my career.

Octopus Energy
We've become Octopus Energy's go-to agency for recruitment work over the last few years, which feels good because they're exactly the kind of forward-thinking client you want to keep working with. It started with recruitment films showcasing their culture, which picked up awards at the FIRM, ISE and Recruiter Awards. That led to covering their annual Octopalooza events, and more recently resulted in an eight-episode Women in Engineering podcast series that we created and produced. The work's varied, the briefs are interesting, and they genuinely care about attracting talent for the right reasons, which makes our job considerably easier and infinitely more enjoyable.

A&O Shearman/Reed Smith
We've made award-winning video work for legal giants like A&O Shearman and Reed Smith. The legal sector doesn't always get credit for creative ambition, but the briefs we've worked on have consistently been some of the most interesting on our books. Big audiences, smart clients, and the kind of work that proves a corporate law film doesn't have to look like every other corporate law film on the internet.
